Student Teaching
- Mrs. Kim Hager
- 13 weeks in the classroom (Spring 2021)
- Wachter Middle School - 7th Grade Math
- Solo instructed all classes for two weeks, which consisted of one advanced group and five math 7 groups
- Taught one or more of the classes for 10 of the 13 weeks
- Assisted with the Check-in/Check-out system for two students
- Experienced several IEP meetings and the important role that a general education teacher plays
Practicum II
- Mrs. Cari Thompson
- 45 hours in the classroom (Fall 2020)
- Simle Middle School - 8th Grade Math
- Taught one lesson on multi-step equations, and one lesson on infinite/no/one solution equations
- Assisted the students with questions that they had with their videos, homework assignments, and Google Classroom
- Incorporated technology (videos, Google forms, assignments) and used data to analyze student understanding
- Instructed in the flipped classroom setting

Practicum I
- Mrs. Tara Brenden
- 45 hours in the classroom (Spring 2020)
- Bismarck High School - Informal Geometry, Calculus AB
- Created one lesson on similar triangles
- Provided support to students with questions that they had on their assignments
- Tutored English Learners with math word problems on how to interpret the English language
- Modeled different learning strategies such as turn-and-talk partners and using different ink colors throughout the lesson to reach all learners

Diversity Practicum
- 32 hours of experiences (Fall 2018)
- AVID Tutor
- Tutored freshmen, sophomore class, and junior classes through the AVID program at Bismarck High School
- Facilitated small groups to create helpful conversations
- Built trusting relationships with students to achieve full potential in tutoring sessions
- Walk to End Alzheimer's
- Set-up this event and helped carryout various miscellaneous tasks
- Participated in the walk
- Fort Lincoln
- Created an educational tour of the Fort Lincoln park for students from St. Anne's Elementary School
- Collaborated with other classmates to provide a fun, yet educational experience for the students
- Conducted a lesson on the cemetery and had the students complete a scavenger hunt
- Special Olympics Bowling
- Prepared athletes to make sure they were always ready to go for their turn
- Interacted with the bowlers to create trusting relationships
- Guided four of the bowlers for the entire session
- Modeled appropriate behaviors while walking to different stations and participating in tournament
Core Technology Specialist

- Assisted the distance learning students with various subjects
- Coordinated meetings with the students over Zoom
- Incorporated 21st century skills
Coaching

- Instructed athletes between the ages of 6-16 years old
- Coordinated drills for athletes
- Interacted with the kids and worked with them one-on-one through the drills
